Mercer Island - West Seattle - Beacon Hill

Today's ride is brand new winter exercise route designed to give
members plenty of good climbs on low traveled urban streets.

The first section of the route is fairly easy with just one good
climb to Beacon Hill taking members through the Sodo District.

The challenges begin after Alki Beach where riders turn east
up and over West Seattle and then over Beacon Hill.

This routes everyone through Georgetown and the Rainier Valley
giving them one last gentle climb to the top of I-90.

At this point it is a steep drop down to the I-90 Bike Trail
for a smooth ride back to the start on Mercer Island.
