Mercer Island - Magnolia

The first ride of the New Year is always fun, and of course
it is always more fun with good friends and good weather.

Today's ride started by taking the I-90 bridge to Seattle
and then going north along the shores of Lake Washington.

In the University District, riders picked up the Burke-Gilman Trail
going west to Gasworks Park and Fremont.

After a few quick stops at Gasworks and to fix a flat tire
everyone continued on to Ballard and the Ship Canal Locks.

Another quick stop at the fish ladder to fix a flat tire,
then all headed around Magnolia Bluff for views of Puget Sound.

From Magnolia the group picked up the Downtown Seattle Bike Trail
heading north through Elliott Bay Park and the Olympic Sculpture Park.

After a final stop in the International District for snacks/socializing,
all headed home, ending another fun day of cycling.
