Biking the Sound with a Spanish Flair

Even though the temperatures were a bit brisk for a Saturday,
SBTC members decide to ride along the Puget Sound waterfront.

The route was from Gasworks Park to Magnolia giving
everyone a birds eye view of the Sound from Magnolia Bluff.

From there all headed to Discovery Park for more scenes
of the Sound along with park scenery.

Via a wooden bridge over the Railroad Tracks the route
continued through Ballard Locks.

The locks are always a nice change of pace since we have to walk
our bikes allowing a closer contact with our surroundings.

Back on our bikes we climb one more hill in Ballard
to the top of Golden Gardens to check more of the sound.

A final descent takes us back along the water to downtown
Ballard for lunch at La Isla - Puerto Rican Cuisine.

After a little socializing and nourishment all head back
to Gasworks Park - another great day of cycling is at an end.
