A favorite of the club is to cycle from North Bend and
today's route is brand new so much excitement is in the air.

The route starts with a scenic loop east of town and then circles
back to Ernies Grove at the foot of spectacular Mount Si.

Roads are sparsely traveled keeping cyclists away from cars,
making the ride more fun.

The terrain is fairly flat to rolling but the new segment has one
steep climb that for some members is easier to walk than to cycle.
|
Early in the ride the faster cyclists break off for a longer more challenging
route leaving other cyclists to enjoy a more relaxed pace.

A final pose after fording an area stream before making a quick run
back to North Bend to meet up with the faster riders and social.
