February 14th, Sunday, Brewery Ride Series: Beer & Chocolate
Ride Start: Downtown Snohomish, WA

on Valentines Day for a friendly
ride ending at one of our local breweries/brewpubs, Fred's Rivertown Alehouse in Snohomish .
Though Fred's doesn't brew their own beer, they offer a great selection of beer on tap as well
as good food and service. This ride will be at a high-leisurely low-steady pace (11-13 MPH MAX
ON THE FLATS!!!). Quick midpoint break with some chocolate Valentines to keep us energized!
Ride start is at First Street public restrooms . Be sure
to give yourself enough time to park, unload your bike and get to start.

February 20th, Saturday, Wing Luke Asian Museum
Ride Start: Gasworks Park, Seattle, WA
- Map/Directions.
Meet: 9:30am for 10am start.
Levels: Social/Intermediate.
Ride Distance: 25 Miles.
Ride Terrain: Mixed Interurban.

Join Norm Tjaden on his yearly quest to see the only
Pan Asian Museum in the country. Third Saturdays are free
admission so your only cost will be the energy to get there and your lunch
in the International District.
First stop will be the museum where we will spend 30 minutes to view the exhibits (you can spend
longer if you like). Then we will head to a local establishment for nourishment and socializing
before returning to Gasworks Park. Be sure to bring a secure lock for
your bicycle.
This is a Cascade Bicycle Club ride but all SBC members
are invited for this very special event.

February 21st, Sunday, Riding around Bothell
Ride Start: Logboom Park, Kenmore, WA
- Map/Directions.
Meet: 9:30am for 10am start.
Levels: Social and Intermediate.
Ride Distance: 25 miles.
Ride Terrain: Very Hilly Interurban.

Ride Details:
Starting from Tracy Owen Park we will circle Bothell's
hilly perimeter, going up and down Finn Hill, Norway Hill, Bloomberg Hill and Nike Hill.
This is the club's first attempt at this ride so it is sure to be a fun with
plenty of adventure.
Mid ride break will be in Downtown Bothell.
If weather is questionable, contact ride leader for ride status.
Route has two significant climbs, over West Seattle and Beacon Hill. Anyone wanting to skip
the hill climbs can ride back the traditional route through the International District saving
six miles.

March 7th, Sunday, First Sunday's Mercer Island and Beyond
Ride Start: Community Center, Mercer Island, WA

The first Sunday of every month we will have a ride starting from the Mercer
Island Community Center. Ride selection will be by member choice from the Mercer Island
Section of the SBC Maps/Cue Sheet Library.

June 11-14, Friday - Monday, Vancouver Canada Outing Weekend
Looking for an inexpensive cycling tour for these recessionary times? We have you in mind. You
can cycle on a budget and still have lots of fun in the beautiful city of Vancouver B.C and
outlying areas, on June 11-14 weekend. Come for 1, 2, or 3 nights and up to 4 days of cycling you
decide how long. Join up with our cycling friends, the Vancouver Bicycle Club, on some of
the fun and scenic routes around the city.
This delightful tour will capture the hearts of cyclists who want a moderate tour of less than 50
miles per day and climbs of 1000 - 1300 ft. Optional routes with steeper climbs are available for
those who want greater challenges. Carpool up to Vancouver B.C. and stay at the University of
British Columbia’s Gage Towers for “nice” budget accommodations (see below). Early
reservations are recommended as this is a popular place to stay for tourists and conventions.

August 28th, Saturday, Bainbridge Island Summer Challenge
Hours: 7:30am - 4pm.
Distance/Terrain: 13.5 or 35 miles - Hilly.

Ride Details:
If you have ridden the Chilly Hilly, you will enjoy riding roughly the same course in the opposite
direction in our mild mid-August weather! Ride either 35 mile Summer Challenge or 13.5 mile
Family Challenge.
Ride at your own pace through urban, suburban & country roads. Stop anytime you feel like sightseeing!
You are on island time. You will ride along beautiful shorelines with their cool breezes and spectacular
views and on country roads through towering forests. Come for the ride; stay the weekend!
Registration proceeds go to the Bainbridge Island Kiwanis Foundation,
for youth oriented charity projects.
September 25th, Saturday, Tour de Whidbey
Whidbey General Hospital Foundation Event
Ride Start: Greenbank Farm, Coupeville, WA.
Meet/Start: 9am at registration desk.
Ride Distance: 10, 28, 40, 50, 60 or 100 miles.
Ride Terrain: Rolling or Rolling/Hilly.

Catch the 7am or 7:30am ferry from Mukilteo to Clinton, start riding at 9am,
giving everyone time to get to the start and eat a nice stack of pancakes before leaving.
Registration is 7-9:30am at Greenbank Farm where all rides begin and end except the
Family 10 mile loop which begins and ends in the Historic
Waterfront Town of Coupeville.
